Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup Mawa (Khoya -i used readymade)
- 2 cups flour (Maida)
- 1½ cup powdered sugar
- ½ cup curd
- 1 tsp baking powder
- pinch of salt
- ½ cup milk
- almonds for garnishing
- Method
- Cream together butter, powdered sugar & mawa and beat well until creamy.
- In a bowl mix together the dry ingredients (flour & baking powder)
- Add curd to the butter mixture and cream together.
- add milk and mix until incorporated.
- Add the flour mixture and gently fold in until all the flour is incorporated.
- Preheat oven to 180C.
- Grease and dust an 8" round pan.
- Pour the prepared batter into the pan, decorate it with almonds.
- Bake in oven for 1 hour. When a tooth pick comes out clean, remove from oven and allow it to cool for 10 minutes.
- Flip the cake on to a wire rack and allow it to cool completely.
- Slice it up and enjoy
