What a way to start this new year, I had the opportunity to visit the temple of "Annapoorneshwari Devi" during my recent visit to my sister's place in Bangalore.
In Sanskrit ‘Anna’ means food & grains and ‘Purna’ means full/complete. It is believed that by worshipping this goddess one will never be out of food anytime in life.
Women worship Annapurneshwari Devi for their better married life, therefore the small idol of "Annapoorneshwari Devi" is gifted to the girl during her marriage by her mother.
