Katachi Amti

Katachi Amti is prepared with the remaining water in which the chana dal for puran poli is boiled

chana dal water
small piece of dry coconut
small piece cinnamon
2 pieces of cloves
2 tsp tamarind paste
2 tbsp jaggery
goda masala (Kala masala)
Salt to taste
curry leaves
1 tsp mustard seeds
A pinch of asafoetida
1 whole red chilli 
fry the dry coconut on flame and grind it along with cinnamon, cloves.
Boil the katacha pani (chana dal water) & add the above mixture along with goda masala, tamarind paste, jaggery, salt. 
In a small wok, heat oil add mustard seeds, When mustard seeds start spluttering add curry leaves, red chilli and add this tadka to katachi amti
Serve with boiled rice
