This is my version of my all time favourite "Kadai Paneer"Ingredients
1/2 kg paneer (cubed)
2 medium size onions
10 cloves of garlic
1 inch ginger
5 tsp Kitchen king masala
2 tsp cumin powder
1 small onion diced
1/4 capsicum diced
salt & red chilli powder as per taste
water as required
slice the onions and tomatoes, in a shallow bottom pan add oil, add cashewnuts, stir until they turn color, cook onions until transparent, add tomato and ginger-garlic.cook for 5 mins. Make a paste when the vegetables cool.
In a shallow pan add oil and fry the onions until they become transparent, stirring occassionally.
Next, add the capsicum cook until they change colour.(See below image).
Simultaneously, in a cooking pot add oil and cook the paste until it starts leaving oil. Add water.When the water starts boiling add the paneer, kitchen king masala, cumin powder, salt, red chilli powder.cover the pot and cook on simmer .
Add the onions and capsicum at the end and switch off the gas and stir the kadai paneer.
