Methi Puri

Methi Puri is a very nutritious & very tasty indian bread. A filling prepared with methi (fenugreek leaves) and other Indian spices is stuffed in wheat flour and then fried.These can be stored for 8 days in a air tight container and can be carried during picnics and trips. makes a great snack for kids for lunch boxes as well


Ingredients
1 cup methi (washed & chopped finely)
1½ cup wheat flour
2 tsp sesame seeds
1½ tsp carom seeds (Ajwain)
1 tsp cumin powder(jeera powder)
1 tsp red chilli powder
Pinch of turmeric powder
salt as per taste
water as required
little oil while making the dough
Oil for deep frying
Method
Mix all the above ingredients along with 1 tsp of oil, mix water as needed and make a soft dough.
Keep the dough aside under a wet towel for ½ hr
knead the dough again and make small balls to roll it into a small puri
Deep fry the puri one at a time until it turns golden brown.
When the puri cools down store it in a airtight box.
